Section 1Conditions of business

Linvar believes that the information in the catalogue is correct at the time of publication. However, the information is subject to change without notice and is not intended a commitment by Linvar, or its appointed agents. Linvar cannot be held responsible for any errors that may appear in this catalogue.

Section 2I want to place an order

Telephone and verbal requests are for information only. Orders must be placed in writing via fax or e-mail.

A company purchase order, with an order number, a signed copy of our quotation, or a faxback order form must be sent to us, before any stock will be ordered.

All prices in this catalogue do not include carriage or VAT. Carriage needs to be added to the order value and then VAT, currently at 15%, added to that total.

All prices quoted are VAT exclusive, given that the VAT percentage may change during the year that the catalogue prices are valid.

PLEASE NOTE: All prices are subject to fluctuation without any notice.

Any variations from the original order placed will be treated as a separate order and therefore two seperate order numbers will be required.

If samples are requested, they will be invoiced and a credit will be passed when they are returned in good condition.

Section 3Paying for my order

Orders need to be accompanied by a cheque/proof of payment/EFT for the full value of the order, including carriage and VAT.

If you wish to open an account, please provide us with the name and address of your bank as well as the names and addresses of two companies with whom you already have an account, to enable us to take up references.

Please note that there can be some delay with opening accounts as we are reliant on others responding timeously. We suggest that if you wish to open an account, you pay by cheque for your first order and at the same time send us the necessary details as detailed above.

All invoices are nett and payable within 30 days.

Section 4International Orders

The listed prices exclude VAT and transportation. Please contact our sales department regarding a quotation for transport of your order, or to arrange for the collection thereof by a transport company of your choice.

Section 5Carriage of your order


Zone 1: 0-100km from Linvar Sales Centers i.e. Sandton, Cape Town, Durban and PE is free

Zone 2: 200km-250km from Linvar Linvar Sales Centers i.e. Sandton, Cape Town, Durban and PE is free but the minimum order value is R1000 (excluding VAT)

Zone 3: 201+ requires a quotation i.e. delivery is not free

All orders that require installation, will have a seperate delivery charge.

Note: This applies only to the Republic of South Africa

To save time - and carriage charges - you can collect your order direct. Please discuss this when placing your order so we can agree on a convenient time for you. To avoid confusion, please confirm an agreeable collection date with our Customer Care consultant before you send someone to collect.

Section 6Returned goods and handling fees

Please note that we sometimes may have a lead time on certain products. Although we strive to always have stock available immediately, this is not always possible.

When placing your order, please confirm the estimated lead time with your sales consultant. Alternatively, if you have already sent us the order, please contact our Customer Care for more information. Linvar abides by the statute(s) regulating cancellation of orders, returns and refunds. Every effort is made to ensure that orders are correctly filled and delivered in good condition. The delivery must be thoroughly checked on arrival; if goods delivered are found to be faulty or damaged or differ from the original order. Section 7Applicable Statutory Rights

Cancellations, returns or refunds will not be accepted if goods delivered are deemed to have been delivered as per the Purchase Order and in good condition.

Linvar may however, in its discretion, consider a cancellation, return and/or refund subject to a reasonable cancellation surcharge.

Special orders as per Purchase Order instructions will be fully charged for in the case of a return and/or refund. The catalogue does not represent the full range of Storage Direct products. It covers the most popular, best-selling storage solutions. If you cannot find the ideal solution for your storage, just call our helpline.

Section 8Our Guarantee

Equipment supplied is guaranteed for 6-12 months (depending on the product) from date of delivery for faulty material and poor workmanship and does not include any liability for consequential damages.

Section 11Reservation of title to goods

Title and property of goods and services shall remain vested in Linvar (not with standing the delivery of possession of the same and the passing of the risk therein to the customer) until the price of the goods or services has been paid in full.
